Rear-discharge mixers
Tandem, tri-axle & lift-axle unitsThe standard ready-mix truck. Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Western Star, International and Freightliner chassis with McNeilus, London, Kimble or Continental drums.
Got an old mixer sitting in the yard with a dead engine or a drum full of set concrete? We buy it as it sits, haul it away for free, and pay you before it leaves your property.
Give us the make, model and year, what's wrong with it, and whether anything has set up in the drum. Photos help.
We work out the offer from the truck's weight and parts and tell you how we got there. No haggling at the curb.
We show up with the right truck for the job, load it, and pay you before we pull out. We handle the ICBC transfer paperwork with you on the spot.
If it mixed, pumped or hauled concrete and it's done working, we want to hear about it.
The standard ready-mix truck. Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Western Star, International and Freightliner chassis with McNeilus, London, Kimble or Continental drums.
Cab-forward units with the chute over the windshield. Lots of older ones are parked with drivetrain or frame problems that aren't worth fixing.
Schwing, Putzmeister, Concord and Alliance pumps, including trucks with a cracked boom, a worn-out pump or a failed inspection.
Cemen Tech, Zimmerman and similar mobile mixers with the bins, auger and water system, working or not.
Loose drums sitting in the yard, including drums that are part or fully set. We bring a lowbed and the gear to lift them.
Dry bulk cement and fly ash tankers with worn hoppers, bad blowers or cracked frames.
Makes we see most: Mack Granite and RD, Kenworth T800 and W900, Peterbilt 567 and 357, Western Star 4900, International 7600 and HV, Freightliner 114SD, Sterling, Volvo, Oshkosh S-Series, McNeilus Bridgemaster, Terex Advance and more.
It happens. A drive fails mid-pour, a truck sits over a long weekend, or a load gets left in after a breakdown. Once it sets, most buyers walk away.
We don't. Set concrete adds a lot of weight that doesn't pay like steel, and it has to be broken out before the drum can be recycled. So it does lower the offer. But we'll tell you by how much up front, and you don't have to chip anything out before we come.
Use the slider to see roughly how much weight is sitting in there. A cubic yard of concrete weighs about 4,000 lb.
Rough weight only, not a price. Standard drums hold up to about 10 or 11 yards. Tell us your best guess when you call.
Every mixer is different, so we don't post a flat rate. Each offer is built from the same handful of things, and we'll walk you through the number.
An empty tandem mixer runs roughly 25,000 to 30,000 lb, and that steel is the base of every offer. Tri-axle and lift-axle units weigh more.
A Cummins, Mack MP, Detroit or Cat engine that still turns over, and an Allison or manual box that shifts, can be pulled and reused. That adds value.
A clean drum with a working gearbox, hydraulic pump and motor is worth more than scrap. Pump trucks are priced on the boom and pump condition too.
Good rears, steer axle and usable tires all count. So does a frame that hasn't been cracked or welded up.
Concrete in the drum is dead weight that has to be broken out. The more yards, the more it comes off the offer.
Soft ground, tight yards or a long run up the Sea-to-Sky can change what equipment we bring. We'll ask before we quote.
Mixers are top-heavy and they roll. If yours has already been recovered and is sitting at a tow yard, an impound lot or back at your yard, we'll quote it and haul it out.
We deal with fleet managers and adjusters all the time, so a crushed cab, a split drum or a fire-damaged chassis isn't a problem. If the insurer still has a claim on it, let us know and we'll sort out who signs.
One thing we don't do: roadside recovery. If the truck is still on the highway, that's a job for the tow company the police call in. Call us once it's off the road.
We cover the whole stretch from the North Shore to Whistler and out the Fraser Valley to Chilliwack.
Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Delta, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Langley, North & West Vancouver
Most of the region's batch plants and pump outfits sit along the river, from the Fraser industrial lands in Burnaby to Annacis Island, Tilbury and Port Kells. Pickups here are usually within 24 to 48 hours.
Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton
Resort and highway work keeps a lot of mixers busy up Highway 99, and the old ones tend to get parked in contractor yards for good. We run up as a scheduled trip, usually within the same week.
Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack
Gravel pits and ready-mix yards along Highway 7 and Highway 1 mean plenty of retired trucks out here, often on farm or pit ground. We bring the right gear for soft access.
Yes. Most of the mixers we pick up don't run. Seized engines, dead transmissions, failed drum drives, blown hydraulics and missing parts are all fine. If it can't roll, we load it with a heavy wrecker or a lowbed.
We still take it. Set concrete adds a lot of weight that doesn't pay like steel, and it has to be broken out before the drum can be recycled, so it does lower the offer. Tell us roughly how many yards set up and we'll price it in up front. You don't need to chip it out first.
We start with the steel weight of the truck and drum, then add value for parts that can be reused: the engine, transmission, axles, drum drive gearbox and hydraulic pump. We take off for set concrete in the drum and for hard access. Send photos with the make, model and year and we can usually quote the same day.
Yes. The number we quote is the number you get paid. We don't deduct towing, lowbed, fuel or loading costs from it.
In Metro Vancouver we can usually pick up within 24 to 48 hours. Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Abbotsford, Mission and Chilliwack are booked as a scheduled run, normally within the same week.
The ICBC registration or a bill of sale showing you own it, plus ID. For company-owned units we need someone who can sign for the company. If there's a lien or the truck is still financed, tell us when you call. It has to be cleared before we pay.
Yes. We buy boom pump trucks, line pumps, volumetric mixers, mixer drums that have been pulled off the chassis and cement bulk tankers.
No. We only buy and remove concrete trucks and equipment. We don't sell parts, drums or used trucks.
No. Highway recovery is handled by the tow company the police call in. Once the wrecked truck is at a tow yard, an impound lot or your yard, call us and we'll buy it from there.
One call gets you a real number. We bring the truck, load it and pay you before we leave.
